There is nothing so permanent as a temporary government program. Much like the original income tax in 1913, today’s proposals of tracking $600 accounts and taxing unrealized capital gains won’t only apply to the rich and in relatively small amounts for long. But, at least Michael Myers won’t kill us, we are straight.
